The first painting from my 16th (and most recent) series of abstracts.
For this series, my intention was to create a more dynamic look, by altering the orientation of the backgounds. I had already begun working in this style with my “G” and “H” series of mini-abstracts, and decided to try it on a larger scale.
Continuing my multi-layered approach, the different levels of highlighting give an almost “twinkling“ look, and combined with the diagonal orientation of the background gives a strong sense of movement – albeit a slow, graceful movement.
